When choosing a cleaning company, obviously all matters must be considered. However one simple concept sometimes gets missed - Management.

The question is not always about the price or about the schedule a potential company may offer you. These things may look attractive on paper but is the reality going to match?

What makes one cleaning company better than another is not their proposal, it is the way they manage your site. A better manager will be able to train, motivate and supervise their cleaners to a higher level, the question is what makes for better management?

There are only 2 choices:-
Area Manager for a large cleaning Organisation, or
Business Owner for a local company.

In an ideal world we would all choose a Business owner to supervise our sites. They have a direct investment into every account they clean, they are easily contacted and will give a rapid response, they have one to one contact with their customers on a regular basis resulting in a professional relationship and they gain individual relationships with each of their cleaners, creating loyalty and a sense of pride in their work.

This all leads to a quality service being provided, which in turn leads to the growth of the company. We had to ask ourselves how could we continue to grow without becoming a faceless organisation run by area managers?

The answer was simple, give each of our Area Managers a financial stake in their customers. Our pay structure means that for each additional customer an Area Manager looks after their salary will increase. Vice versa if they are to lose a customer their salary will decrease. This gives our Area Mangers more motivation to keep their customers happy and care more about them. Effectively each of our area managers have become business owners.

Based near Newcastle but covering the whole of the North East including Newcastle, Gateshead, Sunderland, Durham, Carlisle, Middlesbrough, Darlington, York and Leeds.
